Bentonite Vertical Mill Overview

Our bentonite vertical roller mill is a new-generation grinding equipment developed by Hefei Hengcheng. It integrates drying, grinding, classification and conveying into a single unit.

Specially tailored for bentonite processing, the mill can process raw bentonite into ultra-fine powder ranging from 100 mesh to 3000 mesh. It is widely used in drilling mud, foundry sand, pet litter, waterproof coatings, environmental engineering and other fields.

Compared with traditional ball mills, the vertical design greatly saves floor space by up to 50% and reduces infrastructure investment costs.

Working Principle of 
Vertical Mill For Bentonite

1. The motor drives the grinding disc to rotate via the reducer. Meanwhile, material falls from the feeding port to the center of the rotating grinding disc, and hot air enters the grinding chamber through the air inlet.

2. Under the action of centrifugal force, the material moves to the edge of the grinding disc. When it passes through the circular groove on the disc, it is crushed by the grinding roller.

3. The crushed material is picked up by the high-speed airflow at the edge of the grinding disc. Large particles directly fall back onto the disc for re-grinding.

4. The material carried by the airflow then passes through the dynamic-static separator. Under the action of the rotating rotor, coarse powder falls back to the grinding disc for re-grinding, while qualified fine powder is carried by the airflow.

5. The qualified fine powder is collected by the collecting device and becomes the final product.

6. For materials containing moisture, they are dried during contact with the hot air, ensuring the final product meets the required moisture content.
