Working Principle of Vertical Mill

1. The motor drives the grinding disc to rotate via the reducer. Meanwhile, material falls from the feeding port to the center of the rotating grinding disc, and hot air enters the grinding chamber through the air inlet.

2. Under the action of centrifugal force, the material moves to the edge of the grinding disc. When it passes through the circular groove on the disc, it is crushed by the grinding roller.

3. The crushed material is picked up by the high-speed airflow at the edge of the grinding disc. Large particles directly fall back onto the disc for re-grinding.

4. The material carried by the airflow then passes through the dynamic-static separator. Under the action of the rotating rotor, coarse powder falls back to the grinding disc for re-grinding, while qualified fine powder is carried by the airflow.

5. The qualified fine powder is collected by the collecting device and becomes the final product.

6. For materials containing moisture, they are dried during contact with the hot air, ensuring the final product meets the required moisture content.

1. What materials can your vertical mill grind?​

Our vertical mill is specially designed for coal grinding, and is also suitable for grinding various coal-based materials and related fuels, such as bituminous coal, anthracite, lignite, coal gangue, coal slime, and other materials with similar grindability to coal.​

 

2. What is the capacity and fineness of your vertical mill?​

For coal powder processing, the capacity ranges from 3 to 200 tons per hour, and finished coal powder fineness can be adjusted between 200 mesh and 1250 mesh according to customer’s application requirements (such as power plants, cement plants, boilers).​

 

3. How to choose the right model?​

We need to know your raw coal type (bituminous coal/anthracite/lignite), required capacity, finished coal powder fineness, moisture content of raw coal, application scenario (power generation, cement production, boiler combustion) and site conditions. Our engineers will recommend the most suitable model.​

 

4. What is the difference between vertical mill and ball mill?​
