Based on actualPositive Pressure Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying Jet Pump
Positive Pressure Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying Jet Pump (PJP Series) is a continuous, high-speed powder conveying device that uses low-pressure compressed air (typically supplied by a Roots blower) to draw in dry granular materials and transport them through pipelines. This equipment features a simple structure with no moving parts, offering low maintenance, dust-free operation, and reliable conveying.
Main Product Features
The PJP series positive pressure dilute phase pneumatic conveying jet pump is a compact, reliable, easy-to-maintain, long-service-life, low-investment automatic conveying device. Its only moving elements are the material and air. When connected to a dust collection system, its fully enclosed design creates a completely dust-free working environment.
Working Principle of the JP Series Jet Pump Pneumatic Conveying System
I. System Composition
Mainly consists of the PJP jet pump, pneumatic butterfly valve, pump-top hopper, manual gate valve, and compressed air supply unit (core component: Roots blower).
II. Operation Process
1. Material enters the PJP jet pump via the manual gate valve, pump-top hopper, and pneumatic butterfly valve.
2. Compressed air passes through the pump nozzle to generate a high-speed airflow, creating negative pressure inside the pump.
3. The negative pressure mixes material from the pump-top hopper with the high-speed airflow, forming an air-material mixture.
4. As the mixture passes through the expansion tube, the kinetic energy of the airflow is converted into static pressure energy, conveying the material through pipelines to the destination.
III. Functions of Core Components
- Manual Gate Valve: Used for system debugging and maintenance.
- Pneumatic Butterfly Valve: Automatically closes when conveying is paused or system pressure becomes abnormal, ensuring safety.
IV. Factors Affecting Conveying Capacity
1. Without an airlock device: When installed at the bottom of a storage bin, conveying capacity depends on the material height inside the bin.
2. With an airlock device: Conveying capacity depends on the airlock performance of the device.

Core Advantages
1. No Moving Parts – Ultra-Low Maintenance
The PJP jet pump has no rotating or moving parts in contact with the material. The only moving elements are the material and air themselves—no valves, bearings, or seals to wear out. Compared to rotary valves or mechanical conveyors, maintenance costs and spare parts inventory are significantly reduced.
2. Continuous Operation
The PJP jet pump operates continuously. Material flows steadily into the system without interruptions in conveying—ideal for production processes requiring constant feed rates.
3. Compact Design – Space Saving
The jet pump body is small and lightweight, installed directly beneath the discharge outlet of a storage bin or hopper. No additional support structures or large equipment footprints are needed—perfect for retrofit projects or plants with limited space.
4. Fully Enclosed – Dust-Free Operation
When connected to a dust collection system, the PJP system is fully sealed, preventing any material leakage into the plant environment. It protects operator health, meets strict environmental regulations, and keeps work areas clean.
5. Low Initial Investment
Compared to dense phase systems or complex mechanical conveyors, dilute phase jet pumps have lower capital expenditure. Fewer components, simpler installation, and no need for expensive high-pressure compressors effectively reduce project costs.
6. Flexible System Integration
The PJP jet pump can be integrated into a complete pneumatic conveying system, including: rotary airlock valves, baghouse filters/cyclone separators, PLC controls, and multiple pick-up or discharge points.
7. High-Speed Conveying – Wide Material Adaptability
With conveying speeds of 15–30 m/s, the dilute phase system can handle a broad range from fine powders to granular materials without risk of pipeline blockage.
8. Low-Noise Operation
Positive pressure dilute phase conveying operates at lower noise levels compared to vacuum systems or high-pressure dense phase systems, improving the work environment.
Applications
The PJP series positive pressure dilute phase pneumatic conveying jet pump is a low-pressure, dilute phase, continuous conveying device suitable for applications with moderate conveying volumes and medium conveying distances. It can be widely used in building materials, chemical, power, grain, metallurgy, and foundry industries. Conveyable materials include: cement, raw meal, fly ash, hydrated lime, slag powder, steel slag powder, coal powder, alumina powder, phosphorus powder, pyrophyllite powder, and silicone powder.
